For the serious student of Spanish, this course can be taken for academic credits or to prepare you professionally to communicate with native Spanish speakers. Our one semester course qualifies students to receive 12 academic credits accepted by most colleges and universities. Perfect for people transitioning to a Spanish speaking culture or interacting professionally with Spanish speakers.
Some of the things you can expect to gain form this program:
Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
Advance understanding of grammatical usage (including the subjunctive)
Familiarity with the cadence and rhythm of the spoken language (essential to the understanding of new broadcasts, movies and rapid speech)
Proper etiquette when writing or speaking

Experience Required: Basic to Intermediate level of Spanish.
Activities Included: Latin Dance Classes, typical cooking, riding on public transportation, visits to the marketplace and other points of local interest. Visits to theater, museums and local university campuses. Ample time to interact with native Spanish speakers in a variety of situations.
Optional Travel and Tours: It is impossible to visit a tropical paradise without experiencing some of its natural wonders. Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels:
In these courses, students review the grammatical problems of Spanish as a second language and work with more advanced topics. In addition, students will strengthen their existing knowledge and address points of weaknesses. Intercultural analysis of Latin America, the interpretation of literal works, and the improvement of written and conversational Spanish are emphasized.
All students receive a certificate of completion at the end of their course.
